Required PPE Gear Rental:
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
or “Bunker” Gear is a mandatory requirement for fire training. Volunteers may use issued PPE with proper documentation. If you need to rent gear, we provide a recommendation for rental. Please make gear arrangements as soon as possible to avoid delays in shipping or utilizing your PPE for training.

Volunteer Firefighters PPE - Required Documents:
Volunteer Firefighters may use issued PPE with the following documents:
- Letter from your Department allowing you permission to use PPE for training.
- Cleaning and Advance Inspection are required if the PPE is more than 2 years old. PPE less than 2 years old or "Brand New" will require documents to support that it is new. Gear more than 10 years old will be prohibited and may not be used for training.
There are no acceptations. You must have documents to utilize the PPE issued. We recommend gear rental if you can not provide the proper documents to turn in on the first day of skills. FAO will provide SCBA and Masks.

If you are being treated for any current medical condition, you must be cleared by that treating doctor in your participation in firefighting training.
